Despite being married to men, Madelyne and Therese share a secret, romantic connection during the summer of 1939. When they re-encounter each other a year later, their yearning for one another leads them to find ways to explore their desire through poetry and code-language while often hiding in plain sight.

Written and performed by Rachel Garlin and her 4-piece band, The Ballad of Madelyne & Therese is a play told through 23 songs about [x], [y], and [z].
